Calling all Practitioners in Performance, Theatre Arts and Education.
Let's merge our ideas and fuse our interests with my new SIG - Special Interest Group. As well as recruiting myself I am actively looking to join up with other SIG's. Hopefully creating a wide network of practitioners in which we can aid the journey of our inquiry.

ReplyDeleteBest Wishes,
Jo.x
Hi Jo and Rebecca, I'm thrilled to have you on board. I think the three of us would really work well together and create a great community of practice (see what I did there)!
ReplyDeleteHere is my Linkedin Group also: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/SIG-Performance-Theatre-arts-Education-4665053?trk=myg_ugrp_ovr
Whatever takes your fancy to communicate. I've put an email, facebook and Linkedin up there to ensure maximum communication between people. Although after a with Paula I realised it's not so much that you SIG needs to be presented in one place, such as facebook, blogs or Linkedin. Rather by using all the different communication tools presented to us in module one we can converse and create a SIG, that is grouped by us...
Thanks guys
I am now going on to your link!
ReplyDeleteHi Ahemt, I would also be keen to be part of your inquiries. I'm finding the start of module 2 all a little daunting, for me right now it all seems so much work, and so much more personal than module 1. It really gets you thinking, you agree? How do I even create a SIG?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
SImone
Hey Simone, I had exactly the same question. As SIG I think is your special interest group. How you choose to group them is up to you. I intend to use every port hole of communication to get to my network to ensure a diverse platform to run my inquiry from. Yep Module started with a bang and we are straight in there. No smooth transitions this time. Would love you to be apart of my SIG and look forward to joining yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Ahmet

ReplyDeleteThank you
Hello all!
ReplyDeleteMy email is kellyeveritt8@hotmail.com. I am in the process of setting up my Linkedin profile, so will post the link as soon as it is ready. I am going through the whole CV issue of what do I put on my profile!? I'm just thinking about what I will be using the profile for and how I want to be perceived.
Will post the link in the next couple of days, I look forward to our collaborations!!
Hi Ahmet,
ReplyDeleteI know you are a little further ahead now but I just wondered what SIG resources you are finding most useful?
Within our blog community have you created a SIG if so how or do you just know who has similar interests to you?
Thanks Ahmet!
Hollie x
Hey Hollie,
DeleteNever too far ahead!!!
I think the more resources you can use the better. I had the same issue. I know my networks, they are a very different people. Some will collaborate through this blog and Linkedin. However, I know that other will prefer email or Facebook. Also, you can't beat a good old fashioned coffee and a chat. It's about what ever works for you I think. The group is of course formed by you in your head, but how you connect is down to whatever gets the job done!
Hope that helps,
Ahmet
Whilst reading something for my literature review. I found a great support for my award title. "Theatre is largely concerned with the communication of meaning between actors and an audience; drama is largely concerned with experience by the participants, irrespective of any function of communication to an audience" (Way, 1967). Highly acclaimed drama practitioner and pioneer differentiates and supports my two areas of expertise.
